Jungle Juice and Relax

Charlie started making his own juices from local produce. I love watching him work and experiment. He braved lettuce in his apple juice and then added carrots.

I love how children solve problems. Before they are programmed to limit themselves. There’s no such thing as barriers. Solutions discussed often beyond our adult comfort level.

“That won’t work.”
”You should try this instead.”

Well intended.
Damaging nonetheless.

With little interference, only support when invited, a project is born.

The first barrier presented. What will he use for cups? As earth rangers, the children are ever conscious of their impact.

Solved.

“I’ll bring glass cups.”

Next barrier. We are renting and don’t own any glassware.

Solved.

“I’ll stop at my friends on the way to the market and borrow their cups.”

Next barrier. Customers can’t take their glassware home.

Solved.

“I’ll set up a chair. Only one person at a time so they can relax. I’ll make a sign “Come, sit, relax.”

And just like that, Jungle Juice + Relax has been born. Watch out world.

Until then, maybe we’ll see you at the market one day soon.
