Backwards Hat Husband

7.24.25

My husband showed up for his first shift at Galeria 1084 today.

40 minutes late because we got held up by traffic for almost an hour. A line of 100 cars. Fairly common, not due to a rush hour, but rather because of the unpredictability, road works, or sometimes an accident. Today it was an accident and we were stuck up on the mountain.

The delay didn’t matter much. No one panicked or stressed. My husband still hung his arm casually out the side of the Teracon, his hat backwards. I like watching this version of my husband.

The energy of Costa Rica palpable, penetrating and realigning.

If a place brings our your best self, should one stay in such a place forever?

Dot. Dot. Dot. as the kids would say.
